When I effort to upload music files into Amazon Music, information technology loads a few but says 2860 files have an "unsupported file format."  The files are on my C drive.  When I become to file manager, information technology shows Music with a subfolder showing an artist proper name.  For case, I take an Air-conditioning/DC album and so it shows AC/DC, with a subfolder showing the name of the anthology but when I try to open that folder, I get message information technology is empty.  It does non show whatsoever files regardless of the format.  The folder properties shows the folder contains ten files just when I open it, it says the folder is empty.  The data is plainly there simply it tin't be read fifty-fifty past file managing director.  I have no thought what the format is then can't run search to find files.  I tried searching for ane vocal and it came up with a .cda format so I ran a search using the format and merely 4 of my 2800 songs came up so that's not the format.  I'm lost so capeesh any aid.

Hello Wabuckeye,

Thanks for providing the required details.

  1. When you say folder is empty, then how you're able to upload files to Amazon Music?
  2. Does it mean that, y'all're able to run into them while uploading?
  3. When y'all say File Managing director, are y'all referring whatsoever third party software?

1.  As stated in showtime message, Amazon music says in that location are 2800 song files that are in unsupported format.      However, information technology did find and load 422 songs so I tin can play those songs just not the 2800.

2.  They won't upload considering they are in unsupported format.

three.  The file managing director is what has come with every version of windows I've owned.  It's the yellow binder icon.

The 2800 files are in the folders because backdrop shows there are files in each of the folders just they do non show when I open up the folder.  For some reason, they are hidden and I can't find whatever mode to detect out the type of unsupported format.  I can't even observe the files so I can change the format.

I'm distressing.  The file managing director I referred to is called File Explorer in windows.  Again, when I go to a folder for say Aerosmith, it opens and shows all the Aerosmith albums I own simply when I click on an album, it shows the folder is empty but the propertries shows at that place are files in the folder just they don't show and I don't know how to run across them then I alter the format.  Any ideas?

Hello Wabuckeye,

Endeavour like this. When y'all go into the File Explorer, click and expand View ribbon on elevation of the menu and select Hidden items cheque box. At present meet if it brings the hidden files.

Alternatively, go to the location where all album folders are located, then press and holdSHIFT key, then right-click and select Open control windows here. And so blazon attrib -h -r -s /due south /d *.* and Enter cardinal. In one case the command executes successfully, bank check and see if in case it bring out any files.

Aspect command volition displays, sets, or removes attributes assigned to files or directories. If used without parameters, attrib displays attributes of all files in the current directory.

attrib –h –r –s /s /d *.*

-h - clears ( - ) the Hidden file attribute.

-r- clears ( - ) the Read-merely file attribute.

-due south - clears ( - ) the System file aspect.

/southward- Applies attrib and whatever command-line options to matching files in the current directory and all of its subdirectories.

/d - Applies attrib and whatever control-line options to directories.

*.* - file proper name starts with "*" and ends with .* (I.eastward. All type of files formats)

In simple, the command line which I suggested you will fetch all hidden files.

Let u.s.a. know how it went.

Howdy Wabuckeye,

Every bit I explained earlier, they will fetch all hidden files to visible. If you really don't find any music files even after executing the above commands, then in that location might exist file corruption or those files are unavailable.
